Spotlighting Adolescence

Adolescence snipit

This year the LSCB is focussing on 'Adolescence' in order to raise awareness of the needs and safeguarding concerns that surround these vulnerable children.

Adolescents are still children until they are 18 years of age but are often not cared for as minors.

'Teenagers aged 16-17 who live in England are more likely to be abused or neglected than any other age group, but are given the least protection'.
